Description

Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef top sirloin steak

  • ¼ cup soy sauce

  • 2 tablespoons white sugar

  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch

  • ½ teaspoon ground ginger

  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil, divided

  • 1 red onion, cut into 1-inch squares

  • 1 green bell pepper, cut into 1-inch squares

  • 2 tomatoes, cut into wedges


Instructions

  1. Slice the Beef:
    Cut steak into ½-inch thick strips across the grain for tenderness.

  2. Marinate the Beef:
    Whisk soy sauce, sugar, cornstarch, and ginger.
    Toss beef in marinade until well coated.

  3. Sear the Beef:
    Heat 1 tbsp oil in a wok over medium-high heat.
    Stir-fry beef in batches for about 3 minutes until browned. Set aside.

  4. Cook the Veggies:
    Add remaining oil if needed. Stir-fry red onion for 2 minutes.
    Add green bell pepper, cook another 2 minutes until vibrant.

  5. Combine & Finish:
    Return beef to the pan. Add tomato wedges and stir until heated through.

  6. Serve:
    Enjoy hot over steamed rice or noodles.
