Description

A hearty, one-pan comfort food classic made with ground meat, vegetables, creamy mushroom soup, and melted cheese. Perfect for a cozy family dinner.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef or ground turkey

  • 1 onion, chopped

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 3 medium potatoes, thinly sliced

  • 2 cups sliced carrots

  • 1 can (15 oz) green beans, drained

  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup

  • ½ cup milk

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or cheese blend of your choice)


Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

  • In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground meat with chopped onion and garlic until browned. Drain excess grease.

  • In a large bowl, combine cooked meat, sliced potatoes, carrots, green beans, cream of mushroom soup, and milk. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Mix until well combined.

  • Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread evenly. Cover with foil.

  • Bake covered for 45 minutes.

  • Remove foil, sprinkle cheese on top, and bake uncovered for an additional 15 minutes, until cheese is bubbly and vegetables are fork-tender.

 

  • Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • For faster prep, use pre-sliced carrots or frozen veggies.

  • Try cream of chicken or cheddar soup for a different flavor.

 

  • Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a mild kick.
