Ingredients

2¾ cups all-purpose flour

¼ teaspoon salt

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

1½ cups granulated sugar

1 large egg

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

3 tablespoons milk

Extra granulated sugar, for rolling
Instructions

Preheat Oven:
Preheat to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper. -
Mix Dry Ingredients:
Whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Set aside. -
Cream Butter and Sugar:
Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add egg, vanilla, and milk; mix well. -
Make Dough:
Gradually mix in dry ingredients until soft dough forms. -
Shape and Bake:
Roll dough into 1½-inch balls. Roll each in extra sugar.
Place on baking sheet, flatten gently with a glass.
Bake for 8–10 minutes, until edges are set, centers slightly soft.

Cool 5 minutes on baking sheet, then transfer to a wire rack.
