Soft, chewy chocolate chip cookies with pockets of rich caramel and a sprinkle of flaky sea salt — the ultimate sweet and salty treat!
Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

¾ cup white sugar

¾ cup brown sugar

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2½ cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

½ teaspoon salt
-
1½ cups chocolate chips
-
1 cup caramel bits (or 12 soft caramels, chopped)

Flaky sea salt, for topping
Instructions

Preheat Oven:
Preheat to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper. -
Make the Dough:
Cream butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy.
Beat in eggs and vanilla.
Whisk flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
Gradually combine dry ingredients with wet mixture. -
Add Mix-ins:
Fold in chocolate chips and caramel bits. -
Bake:
Scoop tablespoon-sized dough balls onto baking sheets.
Bake for 10–12 minutes, until edges are golden.

Finish & Cool:
Immediately sprinkle with flaky sea salt.
Cool 5 minutes on the tray, then transfer to a wire rack.
